The group has a fixed asset of RMB200 million yuan with an annual sale of RMB100 million plus yuan and an industrial output value of RMB50 million plus yuan. 　　Weihai Hardware, Electrical Appliances and Chemical Industry Parent Company was established with the subsidiary branches of Electrical Appliances Company, Chemical Industry Company, Building Materials Company and Refrigerating Factory. Under the leadership of the present general manager, the company established the orientation of “developing multiply bases on the main industry”, going all out to finish the adaptation and transformation from planned economy to market economy.

　　Weihai Hardware, Electrical Appliances and Chemical Industry Parent Company marched towards industry and established Fine Oil Paint Factory. The company performed trusteeship for Capital Construction, Preservation and Transportation Company, General Merchandise Stationary Wholesale Company, Business Auto Repair and Fittings Factory, arranged for 100 plus laid-off and job-awaiting workers, cleared up the relevant debt and retained Business Auto Repair and Fittings Factory.

　　Relying on its Refrigerating Factory, Weihai Hardware, Electrical Appliances and Chemical Industry Group Parent Company of Shandong Province became engaged in marine aquaculture.

　　Weihai Hardware, Electrical Appliances and Chemical Industry Group Parent Company of Shandong Province established a modern workshop of marine aquaculture covering an area of 40 mu (almost 26,680 square meters).

　　Weihai Hardware, Electrical Appliances and Chemical Industry Group Parent Company of Shandong Province successfully finished the reform of system of property right and officially owned modern enterprise system and globally integrated independent property right and managerial autonomy. The group was renamed as Weihai Golden Ant Group with board of directors, board of supervisors, 183 shareholders and 7 subsidiary companies.

Management System

1. In 1994, Weihai Hardware, Electrical Appliances and Chemical Industry Parent Company became the first one to implement inner bank system in business system, establishing subsidiary companies as independent legal bodies, putting into practice the system of floating wages, which brought about a complete turning point for the company.

2. The enterprise once carried out the system of floating wages according to the corresponding position and sealed up the archives of wages. The workers being classified into 3 grades, the intermediary managerial personnel were assessed as per the corresponding economic benefit. If they were not able to meet the required standard of the enterprise in 3 months, the intermediary managerial personnel would be immediately replaced. This management system later evolved into the system of elimination through selection and contest for the posts.
